Combine multiple PDFs into one, pull out the pages you need, and fix page order — plus how to keep sensitive documents private while doing it.
Many applications ask for "all documents in a single PDF" — ID proof, address proof, mark sheets and certificates together. Others want only page 3 of a long statement. Here is how to handle both, and what to check before you submit.
Merging several PDFs into one
- Collect every document as a PDF. If you have photos of documents, convert them with Image to PDF first.
- Add all files to the merge tool.
- Drag them into the order the application asks for — usually the order listed in the instructions.
- Merge and download, then open the result and scroll through every page once.
Combine PDFs in any order, privately in your browser.
Merge PDF files →Splitting a PDF
Use splitting when you need only part of a document — for example, the first page of a bank statement as address proof, or one chapter of a long report. You can extract a range (pages 3–5), or split the file into single pages.
Reordering, rotating and removing pages
- Scanned pages are often upside down or sideways — rotate them before submitting.
- Remove blank pages that scanners add when scanning double-sided.
- Move the cover or summary page to the front.
Checklist before you submit
- Is every page the right way up and readable at 100% zoom?
- Is the file under the size limit? If not, compress it.
- Is the file name clear? For example, "Rahul_Sharma_Documents.pdf", not "Scan_0012.pdf".
- Have you removed pages that contain information the recipient does not need?
Keeping documents private
Documents like Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and medical reports should not be uploaded to random websites. Tools that run in your browser — using WebAssembly and JavaScript on your own device — let you merge and split files without the file ever being sent to a server. You can check this yourself: once the page has loaded, switch off your internet connection; a truly local tool will keep working.
